West Highland Way
Departs Stirling station 9am. Returns to
Stirling station 12.00pm
This classic walk passes through some of Scotlands most spectacular
scenery including the ancient Oak woods of Loch Lomond, now part
of Scotlands first National Park. After wandering along the
shores of the largest Loch, you pass into the mountainous heartland
of Scotland with the undulating path skirting hillsides, flirting
with tumbling burns and crossing spectacular mountain passes.

The historic military road across the bleak
and desolate Rannoch Moor is another highlight whilst the Devils
Staircase pass at the entrance to Glencoe offers some fine mountain
views including the first glimpse of Ben Nevis. Finishing in Fort
William at the foot of the mighty Ben (4406ft 1344m) you will have
completed what many regard as the finest long distance walk in Britain
and also the most popular. |

This walk is also our most popular package and at peak
times is booked many months in advance so remember to book early to
avoid disappointment. The package is all inclusive of 7 days guided
walking and 7 nights accommodation with our ever popular eat as much
as you want packed lunches (I think the record was 30 Mars bars last
year in a week!). Our dedicated mini-bus backup allows participants
to opt out of some stages (or half stages) if they need to but 95%
of Walkers complete the journey. |
The walk is broken into 7 manageable stages ranging
from 10 - 16 miles (note the 16 mile day is on the easy ground of the
old military road).
